Western Night in Shanghai

As we were driving into Shanghai, Brandon and I started making the case that if this is a cultural exchange, Vicky and Tiger should experience western food.  So after checking into the Hyatt, we found that the coffee bar served cheese burgers.  Ordering them was an interesting experience as the waiter helpfully explained that if I order a cheeseburger I still get the beef patty as well as the cheese.

So while dining on our $25 cheeseburgers, we discussed how people have to work hard to be able to afford to live this way.  For a brief time Vicky had three (mostly) perfect gentlemen to accompany her.

Afterwards we explored the Hyatt.  We briefly started to go outside for ice cream, but the typhoon is starting.  We're on the 71st floor and went up to the 86th floor observation deck, where George could immediately feel the building swaying from the approaching storm.  Everyone thought he was crazy but humored him by going down the the 54th floor lounge area.  There we had Brandon order dessert and enjoyed a Chinese quartet play versions of western muzak on eastern instruments.
