Morning in Shanghai

As morning dawned, the main part of the typhoon had passed, the building was no longer swaying and the rain had stopped.  After breakfast, we ventured outside to go across the street to the Shanghai World Financial Center, where we went up to the 100th floor observation deck.  The view was still a bit hazy from the storm but it was a nice diversion from staying in the hotel.

After that we traveled to Hangzhou.  Originally we were going to stop by "water town" (a sort of Chinese venice), but I wasn't feeling very well and the boys were sleeping when we got there.  I don't know if it was lingering effects from the building swaying, Montuzuma starting some revenge, or (Vicky's choice) the cheeseburer I ate the other night, but I strongly preferred to move on to where I could secure easy access to decent facilities.  That started a discussion of eastern versus western medicine, and after a phone call with Vicky's godfather (a retired western physician), I relented and accepted some herbal supplements to assist in the recovery.
