Shanghaied!!!

I still have stuff to post about the cruise. But we made it to Shanghai. We took an earlier flight than planned since the floods have backed up traffic through the Three Gorges Dam and we just got a tour of the project.

It turned out to be a fortunate decision. There is evidently a typhoon headed our way early tomorrow morning. So our flight was one of the last before delays started piling up.

We didn't know this until we arrived and I noticed that the airport was very clean - and empty.

After the cruise, it was nice to arrive somewhere and not be greeted by all the beggars. In fact there was only one in sight.
